INSTAX – Lomo’Instant Automat Review

Summer is over, and everyone is back to reality.

I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to document my summer with the summer edition “Lomo’Instant Automat Cabo Verde” Polaroid camera.

Lomography were thrilled to introduce the summer edition Lomo’Instant Automat Cabo Verde. This is the first new edition of the Lomo’Instant Automat since it burst onto the photography scene last year. – But its not just a summer fling, Instax have created an all year round product.

This compact camera takes Fuji Instax Mini film and automatically adjusts shutter speed, aperture and flash output for perfectly exposed snaps in any shooting situation. It is the perfect instant camera for the summer months, but can 100% be utilized anywhere at any time.

“But whats the difference between this and the normal polaroid?”

  • ENTER A WORLD OF CREATIVITY: Experiment with different shooting modes and lens attachments, colour gel flash filters, a remote control shutter release and more!

With an interest in photography but not much knowledge on the technical aspects of taking a photo, I was able to play around with all of the different settings that this camera offered.

When experimenting the shooting mode on the camera, I was able to play around with multiple layers on a photo which was definitely my favourite thing about this camera!! It allows you to be creative and for me, it was a fun opportunity to play around with scenery.

And obviously, we cant forget about how beautiful the camera itself is! I love me a good photogenic camera.

“Inspired by beautiful beaches on volcanic islands, this funky little instant is everything you need to take explosive snaps this summer.”

As a more advanced camera – in contrast to the common Polaroid camera – I found that for first time photographers or people like me who have a limited knowledge on camera may struggle with understanding how to use the camera. I would highly recommend looking into this product more if you were to consider it, due to the advanced nature.

But what a gorgeous camera that I was lucky enough to make the most of over the summer!!
