Revision Break Bliss: Olverum Bath Oils

There is no doubt about it, exam period is hard. It’s stressful, your sleeping pattern goes out of the window and, if you are anything like me you cling onto the few things that make you feel relaxed and somewhat human. Enter Olverum Bath Oil.

Olverum is a uniquely blended bath oil containing Eucalyptus, Lavender, Juniper, Lavandin, Lemon peel, Siberian Fir Needle, Exotic Verbena, Lime, Geranium and Rosemary. Its zesty smell automatically puts you into a state of complete relaxation without being too overpowering.

I conveniently received the package from Olverum the night before my first exam. Feeling extremely tense and drained I decided there would be no better time than for a cup of tea and a bath. You only need to put a few drops of the oil into a steaming hot bath to really feel the benefits of it.

After days of being in a revision hole I was left feeling and smelling amazing. The oil is non-greasy so is easily absorbed into skin leaving it feeling beautifully soft and pampered and as I sat in the warm exam hall the next day I could still smell it on my skin.

After prolonging the revision break bath for far longer than I originally intended I went back to work feeling completely de-frazzled and refreshed. Despite only using a couple of drops my entire flat was left smelling insanely good too! Whilst, like most students, my flatmates and I are more accustomed to the smell pre-drinks and KFC, it was like we were at a spa.

Promoted as having a unisex scent I roped in my (male) rugby player flat mate into trying the product after a training session. It took very little persuasion. Purporting to stimulate circulation and help relieve aching muscles and joints I was interested to see how he would find it.

Needless to say I spent the next week hiding it from him in the bathroom. He said that it left his muscles feeling completely warmed down and relaxed and prevented the next day aches and pains that were usually the burden of training. He also said that he loved how the smell subtly lingered on his skin, saying it made him feel fresh.

Originally Olverum relied on a small following of devotees and word of mouth. However, after rave reviews from the likes of the Sunday Times it is quickly becoming a cult beauty favourite. It has built up popularity as it is completely free of artificial colours and preservatives and is not tested on animals.

You can buy Olverum Bath Oil from www.olverum.com, Harvey Nichols and Fenwick with the options of 125 ml bottle (25 baths) for RRP £26.00 or a 250 ml bottle (40 baths) for RRP £48.

If you are in need of a luxurious gift or bit of pampering or a good night sleep I could not encourage you more to go and pick up a bottle of Olverum Bath Oil. You won’t regret it.
