June 2nd, National Doughnut Day!!

It Friday 2nd June 2017….. Not any normal Friday… This Friday will start the weekend off the right way…. It’s National Doughnut Day!!   Every first Friday in June, people often celebrate the doughnut whilst honouring the Salvation Army Lassies. These are the women that served doughnuts to the soldiers during WW1 in 1938, when this tradition began. Their goal of this fundraiser was to provide the needy through the great depression.
