Tips to Having the Perfect Shower/Bath

You think you already know how to have a perfect bath or shower but do you do all of these:

Give Yourself A Blank Canvas

Before scrubbing away at your skin, you need to prep it. The best way to do this is to shave so you can get directly to the skin. I’m not saying you need to shave, I know a few who are against it and that’s totally your choice. Personally, I feel better once I’ve shaved, I feel cleaner, lighter and like I’ve got a fresh slate for my skin. I like to use Dorca Razors for this.  With its innovative six blade design, EVE 6 will glide effortlessly over your skin delivering a close, conditioning shave and comfortable hold all at the same time. Dorca razors contain Vitamin E (anti-aging and anti-oxidant benefits moisturises skin), Aloe Vera (calms allergies and skin irritation) and Lavender (rejuvenates collagen to reveal younger looking skin and relieves any possible skin irritation), all of which leave your skin feeling moisturised and silky smooth.

You can buy Dorca Razors from here.

Rub Away the Bad Skin

Once you’ve created a blank canvas, you need to get rid of the bad stuff. Any sort of exfoliator will do for this but my personal fav is a new find. Geneva Marvel White is an exfoliator that contains no micro beads and isn’t tested on animals. A product that is kind for our skin and kind for the environment is a great choice. The MarvelWhite is incredibly gentle on your skin yet still leaves it feeling refreshed and smooth. The Japanese Shiso Extract and Swiss Cress Sprout combination also reduce inflammation of the skin caused by allergic reactions, acne, hay fever, dermatitis and eczema resulting in fairer and blemish free skin. Green Tea Extract helps in fighting free radicals and shields the skin from UVB radiation resulting in a more radiant skin tone. Further enriched with natural ingredients Swiss Cress and Soy Bean and Japanese Shisho Extract effectively moisturizes the skin preventing the formation of blackheads and acne while suppressing inflammation and itchy skin.

The Gineva MarvelWhite is ideal for use by both Men and Women. You can buy it here.

Neutralise Bacteria and Acid

This is a step that many people don’t think to take when they wash their skin but since using Sebopure, I’ve noticed a real difference in my skin. Sebopure, by UK acne skincare brand Clarol, is an innovative new anti-acne treatment that purifyies sebum production, opening pore blockages and reducing inflammation. It contains Pixalia™*, made from a concentrated leaf oil extract from the Cleome Gynandra (wild mustard) plant and so instead of working against the skin’s natural processes through the use of harsh anti-bacterial agents, Sebopure works in harmony with the skin’s natural sebum production, keeping sebum pure to prevent acne while not damaging or drying skin.

It’s also FREE from parabens, perfumes, SLS and MI. Mixed with the Clarol Silver & Birch Exfoliating Wash (a 4-way action fast wash to help clear uneven acne-prone skin through detoxification, asmart anti-bacteria balancer, exfoliation and finally skin smoothing) you’re skin will be as smooth as a bases bottom in no time!

Sebopure costs £12.95 (50ml) and is available from

Treat/Moisturise Your Skin

Accordingly, an Olverum bath is a very effective way to naturally relieve stress and help you achieve a great nights’ sleep.
