Venturer Elite SE 11K Review

I own a macbook. I’m not necessarily a huge fan of apple products, I’ve never had an iPod or an iPhone but I do love my macbook. I’ve looked at other laptops in the past but nothing has ever caught my eye or even come close in terms of speed and the power.

Then I discovered the Venturer Elite SE 11K – a 2-in-1 mini laptop and notebook.

We’ve already reviewed the EliteWin and loved it, you can read it here, and so we were excited to see how the Venturer Elite could possibly have advanced.

The Elite SE 11K means there is now 96GB of memory instead of 32GB. That’s more photos, more memories, more videos and generally more fun! There’s also a headphone jack and a HDMI output so you can easily connect to your TV or a speaker. That’s film night planned!

The appearance of the Venturer has also been improved. The older versions were in no way unattractive but the SE has been given a new stylish outer design with a soft touch, curved edges and selection of colours.

We’ve also noticed that the SE is considerably lighter, making it the perfect option for carrying to lectures. We all know that you can type quicker than you write, well unless you want to scribble something illegible and then stress later that you have no useful notes! Anything that can help your studies and make your life easier is a plus! It also lasts up to 8 hours when in use.

The detachable keyboard makes the notebook perfect for travelling. The notebook fits easily into all my bags and the lightweight feel means you can easily carry it on the go. You can now run for your train without feeling weighed down and then rely on it to make some last minute adjustments to coursework during long journeys.

The Venturer Elite SE 11K uses Windows 10 which means in order to unlock the full potential of the laptop, you’ll need to buy a Microsoft Office 365 package (word, excel, powerpoint etc). However, the laptop comes with a months free trial of Office and is still only the fraction of the price of apple! It also means no stress when uploading assessments! I cannot begin to tell you how many times I’ve panicked because I have pages and examiners request all assessments are submitted in word!

I am quickly falling in love with Venturer and the Elite Win SE is definitely something I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone, student or not, who is looking for a notebook/laptop alternative.

The Venturer Elite SE 11K is available in Gun Metal from Amazon in March RRP £269.99
